Have you or would you let your kids see Rocky: not for a few years yet...

What I'm doing these days: I am the Lead Technician supervising 9 techs maintaining Tank and Bradley simulators for the Army as a contractor here on post. In essence three-million dollar video games. I've been doing that for over 10 years now. I also have my own business that I run on the side - Hoppe's Custom Creations. I create custom things for people. I do woodworking, metal fabrication, welding, Motorcycle painting/ airbrushing/ graphics, home improvement, and electronics repair and building. Jack of all trades!

People from Rocky I've kept in touch with: nobody - I lost contact with everyone, until I found this site

Why I first went to Rocky: while stationed in San Diego going to school, I was taken one night by a friend of mine. I went every weekend for the next three years.

How I started performing: how does anyone? An opening popped open one night, and I got "volunteered" to do Dr. Scott. The rest, as they say, is history.

Food I ordered after the show: coffee at Rudfords, or fries with ranch at Carl's Jr.

I last performed: at The Ken in 1991

I last saw Rocky: I tried going to the one in Seattle a few times, but it was never the same. I don't even know if it's playing anywhere around here (Texas.)

Did I buy the Rocky DVD? yep

My favorite Rocky memories: Too many! I'll name few of my fondest though:

Shopping for my first corset and fishnets!!

The night Kerri Smith and I met. I was in my underwear (weren't we all?) and I sat on her lap during floorshow. After the show I gave her my number. A week later she was living with me at my
apartment.

Helping Terri Ferris late at night with her paper route and falling in love with her. I guess a small part of me still is and always will be.

Late nights at my apartment discussing sex and movies with Dave Stenton, Kerri Smith, Bill Balsley, and Athena Panos.

Hanging out at Anthony Pierce's Apartment and being the first to see Batman at the Horton Theater.

All the Renaissance Faires and SCA get-togethers in Balboa Park with Margo Havlik and Eileen London.

Rocky allowed me to be me, not what society expected me to be. I had lots of friends and memories and it really helped me develop my personality, get me out of my shell and in retrospect helped to
build my confidences and self esteem. Who knew that such a poorly made movie with no plot could have such an overwhelming effect on all of us?
