Have you or would you let your kids see Rocky: the first time with me…maybe a second (we’ll see)

What I'm doing these days: I’m a Model Scout for a great Talent Company. I do Special Events also and I love to travel… I’m working all the time, so hobbies are few, but the flicks are always a favorite. I go to a lot of events (concerts, games, fairs…again, working, but I’m there!).

People from Rocky I've kept in touch with: Oh yeah! Seana Nysewander, Vicky Estes-Wygal, Mike Church, Dex Johnson. I've seen Doc a few times, you know…the Carlsbad cast mainly.

Why I first went to Rocky: It was 1978 and a bunch of my La Jolla pals (I grew up there and this was before I knew anyone from my cast) decided to hit ‘Rocky’ one night because we heard “it was CRAZY!!!” Low and behold…IT WAS and I stayed!

How I started performing: I moved to La Costa in 1980 and heard that ‘Rocky’ was at the Plaza Camino Real theater in Carlsbad. Dude, I met my ‘Rocky Clan’…I was home. I showed up in leopard skin with my face painted white with Marilyn Monroe features. I was dubbed Janet (obvious scene) and that was that.

Food I ordered after the show: I was all about french fries, italian dressing and coffee!!!

I last performed: in 1983

I last saw Rocky: in 1990

Did I buy the Rocky DVD? Nah…it’s so much fun to think of the midnight show as the only way to see it…seeing it in my living room does nothing for me. I’m too much of a ham to perform and NOT BE WATCHED!!! Oh and by the way…I always do the ‘shout outs’ and I know I’d do them all by myself too…that would dub me ‘freak in my living room’ and we can’t have that, can we?

My favorite Rocky memories: Okay, I’m Gemini…making me pick just one is just cruel! I’ll never be able to make up my mind! Orgy scenes…no. Mushrooms made it rain in the theater…no. “We all live here”…no. Parking lot pre-shows…yeah, maybe that. I LOVED the parking lot pre-shows…whatta blast!!!

I’d like to say to everyone I knew back in those wild yet awesome years; we experienced a LOT together…the good, the bad, the ugly. I personally experienced a serious tragedy in my life that forced me to move to La Costa initially. My cast, my family, were the one reason I feel I survived that tragedy as well as a 16 year old could. I thank each of you. To those of us who did what we did back then (naughty and nice) and put it behind us by growing up, because it was time, I salute you and me! To those of us who are still a bit lost and didn’t catch the ‘time to say good-bye to that life’ train, we’re waiting for you and we’re here for you. Recover, succeed and smile. We love you! To those who have been with us and have gone…we’ll miss you and it was damn good to know you! To those of you I don’t know…yes I do…we share the same memory of ‘Rocky’…that makes us the same kind of “wild”!
