My Name Now: Angie Land

Location:
San Diego, CA

Marital Status: happily married

Children: one boy, Christopher Robin, will be 10 at the time of the 2002 reunion!

Have you or would you let your kids see Rocky: yeah, of course, what other "safe" rite of passage is there?

What I'm doing these days: working at The Globe Theaters, I travel to Disneyland 1-2 times per month. I love to travel, and get out of the San Diego County when I can. But there is so much for a Resident Tourist to do right here, that I often get caught up in all the nearby things!! Been to Arizona, and Joshua Tree this year, planning a trip to Texas currently!

People from Rocky I've kept in touch with: Eric Apple, his wife Ally, Gary Illig, and his wife Sabrina (use to be Franson), Karen Reynolds, Murry, & Doc plus lots of Dream Police that joined after RHPS.

Why I first went to Rocky: I was introduced to the RHPS Picture book by John Martin, while rehearsing for Bye Bye Birdie at my church!!! Eye opening for a 16 year old Catholic Girl! That was in 1982. I never forgot the book! I was working in the Sears engraving shop in Chula Vista, 2 years later, and Ken Boltinghouse was working at the Sears Savings Bank (remember that?) One friday night, he mentioned that he was going to RHPS!! The memories of that book flooded back, and I joined him the next night! I was hooked!!

How I started performing: Ken Boltinghouse had asked me to perform the first night, and I was reluctant, having NEVER seen the movie. The first character I performed was Crim. Ken kept after me, and I just got up one night and did what I thought was the easiest character. My Betty debut does not count. I think everyone starts with her, or Ralph.

Food I ordered after the show: at Winchell's I nearly always ordered a Glazed Twist - Robert De la Cruz and I had a Ritual... *ahem*.

I last performed: in 1988

Before the reunion, I last saw Rocky: Spring 2001 At Goldie's after Circus Party

Did I buy the Rocky DVD? yes, had to...

My favorite Rocky memories: as with everyone, there are so many that I would never write, (just in case I run for office) and many of you know about those anyhow

I always think back and remember the way I was instantly and continually accepted into the group!! My mom told me right before I graduated from High School, that I would never again find friend, like the ones I had in High School! Boy, was she wrong!
